How Our Story Began
We first discovered Apples Gone Wild through the Vintage Market Days events we host in Asheville and the NC Triangle. Donna was a fan favorite—her booth always had a line, and her apples created instant superfans.
When Donna approached us about taking over her legacy, we were truly honored. She didn’t just hand us recipes—she worked alongside us for nearly a year to teach us every detail that made AGW special. Her mentorship ensured the heart of the brand would live on and grow.
Our Story
Apples Gone Wild is a small-batch gourmet caramel apple company with a legacy built across three chapters—created by Becky Bee, grown by Donna Kessler, and now carried nationwide by Earl Fields and Scott Money. What began in a Tennessee kitchen has become a coast-to-coast adventure, powered by handcrafted caramel, fresh Granny Smith apples, and a love for creating joy one bite at a time.
Today, Apples Gone Wild combines tradition and innovation: slow-cooked caramel, hand-dipped apples, and imaginative flavors made in small batches. From local festivals to major national events, we’re on a mission to share sweetness, spark connection, and turn every apple into a gift worth giving.

The Inspiration
The story began with Becky Bee, who created the original concept and introduced the whimsical, flavor-packed caramel apples that customers fell in love with. Becky laid the foundation for everything AGW would become.
The Heart and Growth
In 2018, Donna Kessler became the full owner of Apples Gone Wild. Through years of creativity, hard work, and endless love, Donna transformed AGW into a beloved regional favorite—well-known at markets and fairs across Tennessee.
The New Era
In 2023, Donna chose Earl Fields and Scott Money to carry Apples Gone Wild forward as she prepared for retirement. They embraced the opportunity with deep gratitude for the women who built the company’s foundation. Today, Earl and Scott are expanding AGW nationwide while honoring the handcrafted traditions that make the apples unforgettable.
